This movie is definitely one of the best Bond movies ever made. My only gripes were their focus on the Poker games. Maybe it's because I don't gamble and I don't understand the rules, but I just think they kind of overdid it, knowing that a lot of people won't get to relate at all.

yeah! tho poker part of the movie alienates most of moviegoers! lets just hope it would be even better next time.

Mission Impossible 3 was extremely disappointing, IMHO. This movie was far better than one that Tom Cruise flick.

a realistic take on the world of espionage. but it would be better if someone would make another movie  based from books by john le carre. a real look on the world of double crosses and double agents!

Casino Royale is for me the best Bond flick so far!

i dont know about you pero $12 million is a lot of money to me. kanindot sa production ato. kanindot sa overall quality sa film. as a matter of fact its exceptional. ang imo cguro gipangita kay kanang sige lang ug binombahay bisan wa kinahanglana. mao ba nay big-budget film? kanang daghan au ug special effects? wala lagi to cya special gadgets kay wala pa si Q. bag-o pa to si james bond na promote sa 00 status. thrilling ra diay imo gipangita, dili diay ka gusto makaila kinsa gyud si james bond personally? that was what the film was all about.

yeah! no fancy things. sometimes Bond movies lack the essence of a good spy movie. but we really cant blame if people look for women, cars, and gadgets in a Bond movie. it has become Bond's trademark. lets just enjoy a new take (a bit realistic at that) on this empire of a movie.

I havent read the novels, but some say if you want the bond in the novel then you have to see the Dalton films(the living daylights and License to kill)

In an interview before his death, Llewelyn stated that of all the actors to have portrayed James Bond, he felt that Timothy Dalton's performance was the closest to the way Bond was portrayed in the original novels.
