wanna try this..
Just a warning to those without personal transportation:
Wala kaayo jeepneys ga-adto didto nga area (kanang 01K man siguro passing by CDU) especially weekends unya wala kaayo taxi muadto didto.
Also, why the P700 annual membership fee? It's because they're targeting the Class A and B markets.
They have been around for a couple of years now sa Metro Manila. Their bi-annual sale (?) is a hit for Metro Manilans. They haven't decreased their membership fee because their business model works. So don't hope for it to become another Makro kay lahi ra gyud siya.
If adto mo sa "Food, Grocery Shopping, & Restaurants" section sa "Living in Cebu" forums (where most foreigners living in Cebu go), they find the membership fee steep but still worth it since they get their "food fix".
A friend of mine disliked S&R's pizza, called it "too thick, too rich and too salty". He stated that S&R is a loser compared to his favorite - Alberto's Pizza.
I also encountered some senior citizens in the neighborhood. They think that S&R is a major threat to Cebuano retailing enterprise and that the P700 membership is an "exorbitant waste". They prefer doing their groceries and hunt for imported goods at Gaisano or at Colonade.
They think S&R is "anti-Cebuano" and that its business license should be revoked to protect Cebu's retailers.
Nindot ta tilawan pero ayo-a pud sa location ani nila uie... Manta duol2x
Sulit ang drink! 39 bottomless, wow!
But bati ang lugar....
lami-an ko sa ila food sa New York style pizza.. though i don't eat pork, but lami ang ila cheeze pizza.. better than sbarro.. ang ila calzone, to die for! as in! lami jud! nya lami pd ila beef baked roll.. also ang super sulit is the roasted chicken meal na tag 99.. lami kaayo ang manok woi! lami pd ila blue bunny ice cream.. it's not as sweet as our local ice cream. I also love their macadamia cookie.
But other than those mentioned, okay2x lang ang S&R. Dili man gud mi foreigners na naa jud specific na US brand grocery items na pangitaon.. nor are we rich na mupalit jud ug US brand items.
So for a regular middle class like us, okay nako sa Robinson's or Ayala mag grocery. =)
