the band was really really popular back in HS days..i remember, my classmates and I would buy songhits or have it photocopied with their featured album just to have copies of the lyrics, even the black & white pix (in the songhits) with their brief profile were a seller among teens..(lyrics in the internet were unavailable at that time)..

I jst downloaded there very first INDIE ALBUM in 1991 "POP-U" ang title.. rare na kaayo na ron pangitaon kaayo. cassette ra gni ang format ana na album.. Luoy kaayo na sila sauna kay walay record company mo salig nila.. BMG ra jud naay guts ni try pg kuha sa ila album, and its worth!!! :mrgreen:

ni basa ko sa thread and nakahilak ko... Because I really Eheads and because of them na uso pag maayo ang PINOY ROCK and ni daghan ang banda... I was in hyscol dn and halos tanan nilang kanta hapit na nako na memorize.... so sad lang na dis band sila.... Huhuhuhuhu....

Eraserheads was great because they were one of the first on the "alternative" scene during the early 90s. Their music was different from what was considered "mainstream" at the time, and everybody embraced their fresh sound. They, through ultraelectromagneticpop, paved the way for other groups (i.e. Yano, Siakol, Rivermaya, The Youth, and others) to have their own hits. This prompted the return to the basic band setup. Heck, even the aging APO Hiking Society joined in the bandwagon by proclaiming themselves as the "original banda".
