it is quite far-fetched to compare science books to the Bible. yes, science textbooks talk about theories, but they are based on circumstantial and empirical evidence. you are a scientist, you should know the difference between science and faith-based belief.

I agree and was only playing with the concepts of so many scientific theories that are as yet unprovable and that scientist must rely on faith, due to the sciences inability to yet accurately test these theories due to certain parameters restrictions. I just saw the similarities of having rely on faith to accept many of the stories in the Biblical text. I was playing with the similarities of these parameter restrictions.

An Atheist can rest on Science as fact not being aware or restrictions. An Atheist scientist only has to deal with the faith beliefs of the theories in his beloved science. A Christian Scientist has to deal with both his biblical faith and scientific theoretical faiths in his beloved science. I just could not resist the word play. And you are right there is a big difference, yet very similar, but still only in the sense of debating semantics.

all this god-talk are based on pure assumptions. ask yourself this (this is for the Christians):

- how do you know there is GOD?
- who taught you about GOD?
- where did the GOD concept come from?
- did the GOD concept come from GOD himself, or from MAN?

if nobody taught you about GOD, would it have changed your perception of the universe's origin? would you still believe the universe was created by GOD? how would you know this, if nobody taught you about the "creator" ... point is, this whole concept is just created by man and it dates back to the earliest century. man's quest for answers. they even thought the Sun was GOD.

As Long as Science cannot disprove GOD, I truly believe that he is there situated in the expanse of the Universe and the galaxies watching over us................

.. erm to gotter, would you mind if you answer your own question. HOW Simple, go and die and see if there is a God or not. No point in asking that age-old question here or to anybody for that matter. Only in death can you answer that question.
