hehe.. its so nice how that guy named david blaine performed well on tv in one of his shows "street magic"... I've practiced magic for nearly 9 years now since I started this hobby when i was in the 6th grade... it wasnt really meant for anything extraordinary... I just happened to read an article at a library while doing some personal research about some psychic phenomena. The article was of a newspaper (ohhhh i just forgot the name) and it was speaking soemthing about sleight of hands... That thing inspired me to do more research until I got my naughty hands on some pretty cool gadgets and stuff from a magic store in a big mall (I have to be general here; otherwise, I'd be advertising... anyways.. i hope you are all into this stuff so that you know who and what im talking about.. hehe). I started with a Svengali deck, which I think every magician should know about as a starting point...

To date, I am still practicing some few minor adjustments with regards to how I deliver my performance to different people.. and guess what... the hardest thing that i think every magician should know is the method on how to perform a special kind of mentalism to spectators so that they wouldnt keep on mentioning the most bothering phrase of all time: "Balika daw to!!!"

Yes, and it really bothered me for a while... thanks to the help of some few professional magician friends of mine, I was finally able to cope up with that dilemma.... Makasamok man gud, honesstly speaking. If you cant even convince yourself of your own effects, how would you expect to convince a whole lot of people starting at you? You are your greatest enemy.. hehe nice noh??

A magician never gives out his trick no matter what. Well, at least, that's what the rule is. It is a reserved intellectual right for a magician and only a magician to learn of the secrets that had been established times before today. As for me, despite all of my performances, I would never call myself a real magician. It was just meant to be a personal hobby.

By the way, sa tanang magicians nga naa diri who are really dedicated to their work, maguntana lang ko... can you all list down individually the magic techniques that you are particularly interested in? I would like to have a fair share of opinions here.. please, as much as possible, no biasing..

what do you mean by magic techniques?? i'm more in to card tricks which requires less sleights and not too much prep work..i'm a fan of visual magic, levitations and animations..i also want to delve to mentalism but i'm still in search for materials that will suit my personality and style..i dont want my audience to think that magic is for eccentrics, anti christs, geeks and the likes hehe

..with regards to my performing style, i always impose a very friendly and casual persona when i perform coz i want my audience to enjoy what they are witnessing and not to over analyze or think too much about the methodology or technicalities of the trick but for them to just enjoy what they are seeing..coz thats the main reason for me in performing magic..magic is supposed to be fun, not only for the spectator but also for the magi..i once did a cig thru card trick for someone in my previous work place and after the trick, i heard the best reaction so far.. he said, "Sh*t!! akala ko sa TV lang nangyayari to..pati pala sa totoong buhay" hehe..that's a very easy trick but the reaction was the best so far..hehe

BTW, i'm not a working magician..i'm just a hobbyist like most of the people who regularly visit this thread..basin c alel pro coz he has a group hehe..pro ka ba alel??hehe
