They are after SALES so they give sufficient grace period so my guess is they won't pressure PAPT if sales (BSA members) is significantly high!

Isn't this a bit of a gamble on the part of BSA Members and MS?

I mean what if the company targeted decides to switch to Open Source Alternatives just to "spit in the eye" of MS and BSA Members. Lets say using OpenOffice instead of MS-Office or GIMPShop instead of Photoshop (I know of a company in Mactan which actually implemented this. Although they do not need the very advanced features of Photoshop and thus GIMPShop was a viable alternative)

Up to now I haven't heard of any inspection in Cebu yet, has anyone been inspected? If they don't go easy with the users then a large part of their customers will consider open source (which I recommend) and that is bad for their business.

Have'nt heard of any inspections....YET.

But a friend of mine who tells me that his company received a letter from PAPT before the Holy Week has made all of the necessary precautions aron dili sila masabit sa PAPT (buying licenses and in some instances going Open Source (OpenOffice & GIMPSHOP and even planning to get rid of Windows XP in favor of Ubuntu once ma-anad na ang mga tawo nila in using OO & GS). So more or less they're ready for the inspections.

Also I have seen at an Internet cafe I frequent that they're I.T. head is preparing ALL their licenses (O.S. & MS Office 2003) and have conducted software audits as early as before the Holy Week.
