Buhi pa dae ng POWERBUILDER?
POWERBUILDER’S 4-PHASE .NET INTEGRATION INITIATIVE
Phased approach
1 Web Services (PowerBuilder 9)
2 DataWindow .NET (PowerBuilder 10)
3 .NET Deployment (PowerBuilder 11)
4 .NET Resource Consumption (PowerBuilder 12)
.NET DEPLOYMENT
PowerBuilder 11.0 makes it easy to bring your applications to the rich world of .NET. Deploy applications quickly and easily as .NET Winforms or ASP .NET2 Webforms, without having to completely rewrite, saving time and money. Smart Client applications bring together the best of both worlds: a combination of the richness your end users are used to with client-server based applications combined with the ease of deployment of Web applications. PowerBuilder 11 has a new component called the intelligent updater that you can use to make .NET Windows Forms applications self updatable quickly and easily. Participate in the .NET development in your organization by deploying your Non-Visual Objects (NVOs) as .NET assemblies, and do it faster than developers using other tools.
OPEN, FLEXIBLE, RAD TOOL FOR ALL YOUR DEVELOPMENT NEEDS
PowerBuilder became successful because we didn’t put limits on you.We provided open database support and flexibility so your PowerBuilder applications would work seamlessly with the databases, servers, and other applications in your organization. Openness is even more important today as its definition has expanded to include platform support and a plethora of new standards. Updated database support, support for Win32 and .NET, and integration with our Application Server Plug-in for JEE demonstrates that PowerBuilder has remained true to its roots. We’re not locking you in, we’re expanding your options all the while letting you use the tool you are familiar with and productive in.

I've been in the IT industry since 1984 and I had programed in different languages and OS. So far I have not seen any that could come at par with the capabilities of PB in business application programming. You can create an invoice data entry program in PB in one hour with invoice printing from scratch. This would already include the database design.
