I'm sure maka afford man ta ani.. bisan lang ug 5 ka units..

Hind? hahaha.. they have a weak spot in their beHind basin ma shot down lang na sa mga rebelde they are very vulnerable because they are slow flying helicopters

If the government is just doing its job properly we wouldn't have to worry about the counterinsurgency problem in the first place.

My take is use the money you guys plan for buying planes and helos, for better education opportunities for our kids, better housing, and better and more jobs...

...just like the Bisolvon commercial...don't fight the symptoms, fight the cause/root of the problem.

Was I "blaming" the government? When you evaluate someone's performance (i.e. try to assess if that person is doing well or not), does it automatically mean you are "blaming" the said person?

Yes, I get your point, but the way you worded your remarks, wala'y bearing on my comments. What exactly do you mean by "naa ta ana?" when in fact, that act alone is already a move by citizens to be aware of what it is that's causing the problem, because one catalyst for change is awareness. Don't tell me nga prior sa pag-state nako sa akong post, aware na ang majority of people in these boards, about my take on where the money should be spent?

No I didn't say you did..

The money should be spent on where it should be spent.. if there's a budget for buying new aircraft why not buy them(that is if naa pay mapuga)

Agreed. Thing is, chances are, knowing the state of our economy and government, wala lagi budget for effective a/c. Which brings us back again to the reasons why I still think it's more appropriate to allocate the money on other needs.

Ironically, I'm a big fan of both civil and military aviation (I'm a flight sim enthusiast), but my sources from the Philippine aviation world, both in the civil and military spheres, are painting a rather grim story about the state of things in PAF. Which is why (again) I believe the money could be better spent somewhere else.
