rod or no rod (handline)... it's ok... when something goes wrong with the rod or reel, you still end up pulling the line by hand...

janliii - the only cost is the transport to the fishing area (unless if you live beside one), the line, hooks, sinkers and bait (optional swivels and float)

koykoy - nice boat! just advise when you are free. i guess there are enough interested people here for a group of four. also a nice time to get acquainted with sailing... i have always wondered how sailboats return to the place of origin if the wind is blowing the other way... rowing or outboard motor? lol...

guys, sorry, i just sold my small sailboat. i posted it for sale man gud to fund my other hobby.

to answer your sailing question, you cannot sail directly upwind (where the wind is from) but you can sail up to 30 degrees upwind. this means if the wind is coming from the North, you can actually sail Northeast and Northwest so you have to zigzag to reach North. Heck, some boats are designed to sail faster upwind than downwind. (this has to do with aerodynamics, more like how the wing of a plane creates lift rather than what most of us think that the wind only pushes the sail). Why dont you start a thread on sailing and we'll take it from there?

aw...dili oi...bsag asa basta naay dagat..libre ra mamasol ...ang Cebu yatch club nice cya...pero na ay entrance fee nga 25php...if dinha lang ta sa ouano wharf,pier 7,8 etc or sa SRP...libre ra jud.. na a sad specialized group na mag pa member ka TCE man guro toh...

Yup you`re right bro, 25php ang entance sa cebu yatch club and very safe place kun mamasol ka gabii...nice fishing ground kay dili jud ka ma zero, sa ako lang fishing experince dinhi kay makakuha jud ka hehe...Daghan sab ko na meet nga mga anglers dinhi and they are so friendly...pwede ra ka makapangayo ug paon (bait) kun mahutdan ka...

mga bros, newbie pko ani... try unta ko sa yacht club, ask lang ko unsa pinaka effective na bait if pier fishing lang like sa yacht club? karaan na ako rod pero unya ra ko palit bag-o kay basin ma pul-an ra dayon ko esp if ma zero ta hehe.. naa ko mga artificial lures hatag ako uncle but basin dili ni effective sa yacht club.. thanks mga bros!

to all newbies in fishing. adto mo "TCE tackle shop". left side na cya going to old bridge from mandaue. duol ra na cya sa corner. sorta walking distance from albertos pero left side lang. naa sila fishing club dha and complete na cya equipment for newbies.
