there is a sayings that no man is an island, so if you are alone then that's the time you give up but for this saying, we cannot give up until it is done..
I think the appropriate term to use here is "soldiering on". Meaning we have to go on even though we don't want to. Like a soldier going into battle, knowing that there's a chance he won't get out alive.
Persistence is a good thing. If you'll read the stories of successful people, you'll see that their path was a very trying and hard one. But with persistence, they were able to conquer and finally find their success.
But be careful also, doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.

my point here is that others are still taking it over and over again, and tried different strategies to pass the test but still end up with the same results.. will they move on and take another path? or still try and try and never give up
One more thing...if you become used to not giving up, it would seem like you don't ever want to give up again.
Always doing your best and especially exhausting yourself after a hard day at work.
It feels good for the soul knowing you have nothing to regret.
