Depende bro, kay naa man K9 unit sa mga security agency like Cantina yata. mao nang ang uban na HS grad. ra kay security guard assign sa K9 unit. Same sad sa AFP ug PNP naa sad sila K9 Unit.

To be a K9 handler , you dont have to be a policeman , one must possess this traits and instead qualifications :

- Love of canines
- Familiarization of working dogs
- Physically and mentally fit
- Knowledgeable in basic , intermeddiate and advance commands of dog handling
- Willing to be trained

My advise ? Acquire a dog first , I suggest the LABRADOR RETRIEVERS . They are very prolific , intelligent , has good temperament , easy maintenance and most of all , a good companion dog . It doesnt happen overnight also , maybe years pa gani . From there and along the road , you can encounter people . From trainers , shooters , groomers , vets , fellow dog owners , vets , breeders etc . Learn the trade from these people and establish a long term relationship .

From there , if you think you can up the notch then you can just easily handle HARD DOGS . Dogs like the Dobies , GSD , BM , Dutch Sheperds etc .
