I have reviewed some arguments online and while back in high school I knew the kid was trouble, this is one case where I think he's still innocent and not fairly proven guilty.

I know believe that paco was thrown in jail for "civil reasons". By that, I mean the people who sentence him only did it to avoid a mass protest.

With Hubert et al's acquittal and Give Up Tomorrow ( A Docu about Paco's plight with our justice system) opening at Tribeca Film Festival in New York, I think it's high time to revive this thread.

I was still in college when this case happened. Wala kaayo interest ani nga kaso. When Paco and others was arrested, I thought well they're all guilty. That's what the media was portraying and that's what everybody believes. In short it's a trial by publicity. Murag nagka interest ko ani gamay after Hubert's acquittal, gi-compare man gud sila ni Paco. Then I read somewhere about the unfair handling of the case. And then there's a thread here about this docu about Paco. I found this thread and started reading it from page 1 and I must admit that LytSlpr posts and Spring's vouching Paco's innocence changes my view about this case. And now I found this interesting site CHIONG CASE
I don't know what's the legalities of this case or how our justice system works but I hope this guy will be given another chance for a fair trial.

this is the similarity.
both cases had a witness who participated in the criminal act. both became witnesses for the prosecution

the difference.

in Paco - ruben rustia's credibility was not vigorously questioned
in Hubert - jessica alfaro's credibility was heavily questioned

mao jud bro pra nako pud kay life sentence nalang kay wala tay katungod na mo patay og tao.......... maypa life sentence nalang kay pra hangtod2x sa iyahang kinabuhi cya mag basol sa iyahang salah.........
