He was on the run for a long, long time, but they finally got him. US is probably sweeping up his enablers right now. Al-Qaeda could even fizzle out, terrorist organizations have been known to to do that after losing influential members and the prevailing mood in the Middle-East is pro-democracy which is the polar-opposite of what Bid Laden stood for.
