Hello guys!
Just wanna share some new infos that i personally gathered from various researches i found in the net these past few days about breeding and i hope these cud help newbies and visitors that are still going to venture on this hobby:
BREEDING PEN PREPARATION:
i saw this video clip from a fighting cock hobbyist recently stating that breeding pens should be wide enough to house at least 1 set of trio.......this means that the wider the breeding pen the easier the cock and hen can do the mating process.
another thing is that, when placing a nest box inside the breeding cage, it is very suitable to place it in a higher ground up above the roosting area (batuganan).......this could help hens to become a prolific layer because they will feel that their nesting place is secured and all she will need to do is to lay and lay good quality eggs. Take note that hens are very parental animals which means that they tend to their young one starting from the egg stage until it hatches, from time to time. Making them feel secured is a moral boost for them giving you a good hatch at the end.
keep also in mind that roosting area should not be too high for the chickens inside the pen......high roosting can cause bumblefoot and we dont want to have this on our chickens.
TAKE NOTE:
Today, breeders from all over the world are using the agricultural lime as substrate for their breeding pens. If you will try to search in the internet, agricultural lime A.k.A apog which is commonly available at hardwares nowadays have many pros that could help a breeder achive his ultimate goal: good and quality hatch. It is scientifically proven that apog is safe (not poisonous as what other people says) and a good source of calcium for laying hens and keeps good quantity of oxygen level inside the breeding pens instead of amonia.
TIPS AND TRICKS:
Do you know guys that the bigger the comb of a cock symbolizes how fertile he is.......yes, it is definetly true!....because science and various reseach says that the comb serves as testicles for cocks.......this means that in proper selection of good broodcocks, be sure you choose a cock with a massive straigth healthy red comb.
Hope i help you out!
Enjoy and Have A Happy Bantam Breeding guys! Godbless!

Maayong adlaw mga master. agi lang..
Successor Pellets for Breeding stocks.
Proper diet:
25grams of successor pellets a day. Make it twice a day, 12.5grams sa buntag, 12.5grams sa hapon. Sa kada manok. Brood Cock and Brood hen. Enjoy kaayo ko paminaw ani kay Dr. Teddy Tanchanco sa YouTube.
Don't forget to give them water.
Dugang lang... hehe.
Successor Pellets na ang ipakaon 1 month before breeding sa stocks and dapat 1 month before, 90% kumpleto na ang feathers sa brood cock og sa brood hen. Then if wala pa mag sugod og pangitlog ang hen, mas mainam na liguon cla apil ang brood cock para walay kuto and to prevent infections sa stocks. dapat pod diay nga 1 month before mag breed, kinahanglan nga i-deworm usa nato ang stocks 2 days after sa pagpaligo. pero dapat follow up after 10 days gikan sa pag deworm (ambot unsaý pasabot ani na follow up) para ma prevent ang rejects na mga chicks na ma hatch sa breeding.
