I wonder why there's no talks of Kevin Durant for the award ?? It's not like he's not producing the same stats as D-Rose and others . If he doesn't win this award , then this award is a joke : cuz this will be more on hype , instead of production-wise .

I'm not saying D-Rose don't deserve to be the MVP , it's just why the media are only focusing on him as THE ONLY deserving of the award when Durant has a greater productivity ?? Even here in the forum , there are more people voted for Rose than Durant .

One can argue that D-Rose is a better defender than Durant - but it's nonsense if we have to compare them in that area since they play in different position . Overall , their production are slightly similar with each other .

IMO , Durant should be awarded for this year's MVP award .

The Bulls is having a huge turnaround from last season, and hence, the much deserved hype.

But yeah I think so too that Durant should be in the discussion with Rose, LeBron and Howard.

for me D Rose for MVP..we should take into consideration also despite the injuries to Noah & Boozer, the Bulls were still able to get the no. 1 seed because of D Rose (and coach of the year Candidate Tom T.)

What's LeBron's stats this year anyway ? Is his stats better than anyone else ? I think last season they voted LeBron for MVP award because he was 4x straight Eastern Player of the Month (October - February) .

This season , D-Rose is the Eastern Player of the Month in March while LeBron voted twice (December w/D-Wade , and January) .

CHICAGO (AP)—Chiacgo Bulls star Derrick Rose is the NBA’s MVP, becoming the youngest player in league history to win the award, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.

The person spoke Monday night on the condition of anonymity because a formal announcement has not been made. That could come Tuesday, with a formal presentation before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The news is hardly a surprise.

Rose is the second Bulls player to win the MVP but has a ways to go before he catches Michael Jordan, who won five—but he sure is off to a good start. In his third year, the dynamic point guard led the Bulls to their best season since the Jordan-Scottie Pippen championship era.
