Any opinion about this? Kinda bit unfair... if ang pinoy madakpan kay way mabuhat ang pinas... pero kung lain countries kay deportation lang... hahayz...
"Two Americans wanted for cases of fraud and drug importation filed in the United States were deported to California, the Immigration Bureau said on Thursday.
The two were identified as Timothy Allen Avramides and Scott Matthews Schwanke, both deported following orders issued against them by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Board of Commissioners at the request of the US embassy in Manila. They also landed on the BI's blacklist.
The two were escorted by members of the US Marshals Service and BI-Interpol operatives while boarding a Philippine Airlines flight to Los Angeles, California.
According to BI acting intelligence chief Maria Antonette Mangorbang, Avramides was arrested on April 18 in Carmona, Cavite. Schwanke meanwhile, surrendered himself to the US Embassy two days later.
Avramides is to stand trial on charges of issuing worthless checks in Florida, according to the Bi intel chief. He has also been accused having stolen money from the members Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Carmona, Cavite.
Schwanke has been in the Philippines since the 1990s, said special prosecutor Ramoncito Tolentino, who handled the American's case. He added that Schwanke is wanted in Guam for importing heroine and violating his release condition under his own volition.
After nearly two decades of moving around the Philippines, Schwanke surrendered to the US Embassy. "Siguro nahirapan na siya," said Tolentino. However, Tolentino also said that Schwanke had expressed a desire to reenter the Philippines if he is removed from the Immigration blacklist because, Tolentino supposed, he has a child in the country.
Mangorbang said the US government had already revoked the passports of Schwanke and Avramides, making them undocumented aliens.
Another foreigner is also set to be deported this week.
Chang Wen-Yuan, a Taiwanese fugitive wanted for theft and fraud in Taipei, was arrested on April 18 in Caloocan City.
Chang's passport has also been cancelled, according to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Manila. — BC/VS, GMA News"
