buying naval ships isnt that easy with the "limited budget" not kurakot. the AFP ask for a 300billion for the modernization.. 11billion ra nahatag sa government. do you think its enough to buy those modern ships(it will also be divided to the Navy, Airforce and the Army). because of the limited budget... the armed forces focuses its budget on the real threat on hand ex. MILF, ABUSAYAF and NPA's... the budget constraints limits the AFP's goal to actual and not future threats sad to say.

so yes "some" of our ships are obsolete although some are modern enough. but it still has the powerpack to counter any threats. good thing is our armed forces still has high morals. though your comment demoralizes them. so stop insulting and start helping.

buying and maintaining is two different animal....

corruption is just a one factor why we didnt get fancy hardware that everybody's dreaming, its basicly our ability to maintain it, usually gamay rajud ang budget sa maintenance, and most of the times, mas dako ang gastohon sa maintenance, thats why our govt set some critera when ang usa ka barko BER o dili....

buying new and modern hardware is good, can we maintain it?

timan-i ang tax nato dili ra kay mao nay gigastohan...
