    @Ramini
    Yup! Lahving Richard Williams. I'm actually reading his Animator's Survival Kit as of the moment, as well as, watching his Roger Rabbit shorts that never made it out on television thanks to youtube heh. I love how fluid he makes the actions done. When I was a kid, I watched this feature animation that he made(Thief and the Cobbler) and I actually feel bad now that not a lot of people recognize or know about it. Anyway...

    I also love Chuck Jones' style. I actually look forward to his Tom and Jerry and Looney tunes renditions more than Friz Freleng or I. Freleng' shorts. So it's either his style or Tex Avery's style that I adore most. And let's not forget the Grinch's unforgettable smile. X3

    What about you? Do you know other amazing animation greats? I think there are just too many people to mention especially since animation is most of the time a team effort.

    @jnom
    Exactly! That, and he doesn't limit himself to one style. He also promotes life drawing, doing realism, etc, painting, or other things not animation-related.

    Oh yeah! Speaking of Richard Williams, I must share this awesome walk cycle intro animation --> YouTube - The Animator's Survival Kit Logo!!

    Richard Williams learned from all the pioneers and masters. WB, Disney, etc, from low budget to big budget. I can't believe how complicated their rules and theories were to do those cartoons in that era.

    @everyone
    has anyone watched "Waking Sleeping Beauty"..a documentary done by Don Hahn..or have you heard about the 1941 Walt Disney Strike? or how much do you know about the Animation Revolution from the 50's-60's and its huge impact and influence in today's modern animation artists..question kng hardcore animation fan mo..kinsa man ang animator who lived all throughout western animation's history that spanned from 1900's down to the present..If you'd try to discover these events and the people involved then i guess you will understand ngano ingon ana pagka design ang powerpuff girls, samurai jack, and every other mainstream western cartoon..

    kani nice ni na topic na i discuss dri sa thread..read about the 1941 strike and how it spawned the highly influential animation studio U.P.A. and its most celebrated artist John Hubley study closely the artistic principles of U.P.A. and the Walt Disney Studio..if you were to choose one asa man mo mu agree?..sa akoa kai i go with U.P.A's approach in animation. "Animation is an ARTFORM an avenue to express oneself and not become a mere reflection of what it seem to emulate" that's how i see animation..now tell me guys kng unsai inyong stand..we'll discuss together..kay sa akoang tan-aw mas nice ni na discussion let's try and look beyond what is painted in the celluloid and discover the reasons and principles of the artform.

    PS: you guys should visit this site too..

    if you guys are just patient enough try to dig sa mga past posts nya about animation..medyo maypagka purist ni sya pero try look discover the real essence sa iyahang mga rants ug reklamo..at first nahilasan jd ko nya manulti pero later on i have come to appreciate and respect his views regarding animation in general though i don't wholeheartedly agree sa tanan nyang mga gipangsangyao pero i think he's one of the most bravest and outspoken animator in our time..sometimes you hate him sometimes you adore him..if interesado jd mo ug animation dli mo magmahay ug untingkay sa iyahang blog..dli lang na sya mutudlo ug sakto na technique pero daghan kaayo tag mapunit na mga lessons not just the technical stuff but the whole shebang of animation..bias lang kaayo na siya ni Bob Clampett so pasensyae nlang na sya regarding ana..kai groupie jd na sya ni Clampett..hehe!
