-expensive jud sha in the sense na gamay ug value ila currency...imagine a pair of fake earrings cost 16,000WON pero if converted to Php, that would be approximately 850.65 pesos..haha..

-mercy@022: yes, you still need VISA..i'm staying in Japan as a resident alien yet I still have to apply for S.Korean Visa good for 30 days..FYI: Japanese nationals enjoy the no-VISA requirement in visiting S.Korea.

Got back from GyeongJu for a business trip a couple of weeks ago...like Japan, everything is expensive in Korea. The things I liked were the bbq and Soju! But it was quite a stay and like other countries in Asia, it has its place in history.

yes you do need a visa to visit korea. the korean embassy is a lot stricter than before due to the increase of the illegal migrant workers. however if you do present all the required/necessary papers, you will have a good chance to be granted one

Honestly, no I did not. I mean, not that I don't find it interesting but I stayed in the office 12 hours a day and got back to GyeongJu Hilton already dark there's practically nothing to see! The early morning walk by the lake though is soothing and the sceneries are all green. GyeongJu is a haven for environmentalist. Now back to Soju, it doesn't taste good if you just take it by the shot alone but when paired with the famous korean way of eatig bbq (wrap in cabbage with different spices), man, it's delicious!!! Forget about the price, it makes you loss your apetite..

So you stay near GyeongJu? Maybe next time you can show me where the tombs are...

i will be spending the next 6 hours here... too bad, can't get out of the airport to at least get a feel of korea... i hope the lounge serves korean dishes later... the only "something korean" i got today is a picture of the world cup balls.

if only they give out transit visas here... oh well... wishful thinking...
