Berto has significant fame here in the USA not so in other countries but America is where all boxers want to go and it's the proving ground for boxers... i've seen the Collazo fight it was a very entertaining bout and he came out winning after all adversities. a quitter? i highly doubt that maybe ikaw ra...

Calzaghe and Marciano ain't great fighters? LOL! maybe you're dreaming....
Calzaghe was the former WBO(held for 10years), WBA, WBC, IBF, The Ring magazine & British super middleweight champion and Ring magazine Light-heavyweight Champion and retired as one of the top p4p fighters in the world...

Rocky Marciano an insult to those fighters? dude do you even know who he is?

    puhhllesss...

winning is everything and that's a fact! why would you compete if you don't have the mind set to win?
why is there a need to fight if you don't have the mentality to win? it's a METAPHOR!!!!!! duh!

me? don't know who the four horsemen in boxing? lol! you're more vague as thought you were...

ahh this one made me laugh... so if you fight the best you're going to lose right? is that you're theory LMAO!

ranting about mayweather will go us nowhere like we did last time... Sergio Martinez is a beast! no one can stop that man, even mayweather or pacquiao or other guys in his division will be destroyed...

i'm huge huge morales fan even before the pacquiao bouts and i think he was robbed...
Boxing is a dying sport? I've heard that since 10 years ago, maybe more.. If it was dying, it should have been dead by now.. I'm not even going to touch on MMA as a subject.

I NEVER said Berto was a quitter, and especially not after the fight with Ortiz. I said fights fans labeled ORTIZ "quitter".. not Berto.. Yeah, Berto won vs. Quintana officially, but not in my eyes.

About Calzaghe and Marciano, please pay attention.. maybe I got this wrong when I posed the question if you consider them great fighters. I thought I agreed that they were great fighters because they are or will be (in case of Calzaghe) Hall of Famers. But an ALL TIME GREAT? Calzaghe? Really?

The winning thing you got all twisted. OF COURSE everybody has the mindset to win, who argued about that? NOBODY gets in that ring expecting to lose, except maybe if a fight is fixed. But winning isn't everything. A lot of fighters lose officially but end up winners to fight fans. Some winners, like Adrien Broner (ever heard of him? the guy who last fought Daniel Ponce de Leon?) end up losing because of their poor performance. That's the METAPHOR bro!

and YES, I dare say it.. if you fight the best out there, a BIG possibility is you are going to lose some.. Look up the history of boxing and TELL ME if you find an ALL TIME GREAT fighter who fought the best of the best out there and left unscathed? Name me ONE All time great that did not lose a fight? And forget Marciano.. he did not have the chance to lose because his career was so short, it spanned only 8 years..

Morales was not robbed. He lost a close fight that could have gone either way. Examples of robbery are Peņalosa-deLeon, Casamayor-Sta. Cruz among others.. Losing a competitive fight is no robbery, just like how Marquez lost to Pacquiao.

Arguing with you seems to be a regular thing already and I'm also tired of it. We are both boxing nuts with totally different perspectives. I guess we will never be on the same page.. and its pointless to argue anymore. I'm not doing this for the sake of argument, but this really is my opinion and I believe it the same with you. So keep yours and I'll keep mine.

Let's just sit back, and enjoy these fights. Next week will be another good one for the sport!

And I'll leave you with a quote from Doug Fischer:
"They may never admit it to you, but your MMA friends know that when boxing is at its best NOTHING can compare to it."

Comment lang ko gamay about sa argument sa taas...

Boxing is not a dying sport. Yes it had and will have its down times when there is no one worth watching like post-Ali and post-Tyson era, but there will always be an exciting fighter that will rise. Always.

After Pacquiao maybe there will be 'famine in the land'. But I'm positive there will be another set of exciting fighters. Maybe not with the caliber of Pacquiao but at least someone worth watching.
