    So are you saying they are the landowners or paying tenants?

    Are you implying that the payment for the business permit is the rental fee for the entire year?

    why issue a business permit in the first place if they don't want them there?

    remember...i am not talking about all the sidewalk vendors in general. i agree nga badlongonon jud nang mga nang mushroom nga mga gagmay nga vendors nga nag ali na sa mga agi-anan. i am very specific here though. kani ning naay mga stalls sa mandaue delicacies. they've been there for years, daghan na lang karong lawgaw.

    i think a business permit is issued if you run a business in any local government unit (LGU) ... regardless if you are legally situated or not ...

    if that's true, it's very misleading. the system needs to be reviewed. loopholes such as these must not exist at the expense of people feeding their families!
