question to all ubuntu users...naa koy asus eeepc series and running ubuntu 10.10 netbook version...pro the problem is i can't figure out how to locate my SD card...murag internal mnemory ang ako makita...how can i find my sd card for additional memory bah...

hmm weird.. it should pop out every time you insert SD card like normal USB flash drive inserted to your netbook..

have you tried locating it sa media?

try open your terminal and write this

$ cd /media/

then when your in media directory write

$ ls

ls - stand for list

check if ma detect ba diha.. don't know if this works.. but it's worth to try..

naka try ka na sa ubang card?
giunsa pag format ang card?

plug ang sd card nimo tapos query like this og kung mahimo post ang gamay nga output diri resembling the sd card lang.

dmesg
sudo fdisk -l
cat /etc/fstab

kung ang device naa sa fstab naka comment basin mao na ang hinungdan pwede ra nimo uncommnet tapos reboot. pero post sa ang resulta para makatabang mi analyze.

Guys, naa ko problem sa akong laptop. HP Pavilion dv2000, running Ubuntu 10.10

Ang problem is dili siya mu boot!! Miski sa BIOS dili nako ma access.

Nahitabo ni 2 days ago. Usually, mugamit ko sa laptop naka plug ra. Pero 2 days ago, akong gi-on nya wala naka plug. Kutob ra ko sa logon screen, then ni hang na siya.

Ni try ko ug ilis ug battery, try nako on nga naka plug, pero mao ra gihapon.

Any ideas?

try removing the battery then turn it on.

@waterboy: dili Live USB or CD akong gamit. Ubuntu gyud ang naka install sa laptop nako.

@Devian: gi try sad nako, pero dili mu-work.


Ingon sa ako migo nga technician na overheat daw ang processor. Matud pa niya, no chance na daw. Kamo, naa mo other ideas or remedies?

replace board.

pareha ta ug laptop. Ubuntu 10.04 naka-install sa ako-a. dili sab mo boot pero mo siga ang mga leds. Video problem na bro.

yup ayaw lang mo alanganin kay beta pa ra ba daily naga update ko kay beta 2 pa ni daghan pa gyud bugs pero usable.. the good thing is ang fallback gnome 2, ubuntu no effect mode sa gdm

ubuntu 10.10..nindot..newbie pko..so far...good ra ang experience...ask lang ko bah...unsa.on pag padagan sa mga executable files?di lage modagan uban executable files...mo ditso xag dagan sa archive manager...help!

.exe executables are for Windows only. Sa Linux lain na pod ang executables. Ug ang executable file nga imong giingon, installer, ang equivalent ana sa Linux is .deb sa ubuntu/debian, .rpm sa mandriva based Linuces.

Ug gusto ka mo-run ug Windows applications sa Linux, mag-install una ka ug Wine. Mao na siya'y compatibility layer aron modagan ang Windows apps sa Linux.
