    To Whom It May Concern:

Buying an aircraft is not the issue why we can get them, is more on CAN WE MAINTAIN IT?, even there are less corruption the COST OWNERSHIP IS ALWAYS A FACTOR

the root word is COST OF OWNERSHIP

our aircraft are old design, true, but most of them are already upgraded to the latest specs, like OV-10 its not the old OV-10 as we all knew it after Marsh Aviation upgraded it, or S211 is not old since it was already upraded to modern specs, our HUEY they are all been upgraded to the modern specs...

they are old YES, but still can kick ass.... our PAF air asset has maximum flight hours then after that off to the hangar for maintenance and upgrades...

and BTW, we didnt scrap our F5 the PAF just put it on an mothballed status, the state of PAF deteriorated when the American left the philippines an again salamat sa mga aquinos ug mga minnions niya

i dont know if PAF is following the magic "3", 1 is Active, 1 is Ready-Reserve and 1 is on Maintenance

not to mention having modern jets that consumes too much.. maintaining these craft would be costly.. missiles. not to mention we need to upgrade/add our radar system so not to make this jets flying blind... too costly and our first concern is internal conflict... in which we are already masters of the sky vs the rebels.
