Guys, need help. My wife's phone (Samsung Wave S8500) restarts itself. Igo lang mo load sa Bada screen then mag restart napod. This happened after updating to the latest firmware through Kies.

Any idea on how to fix this? Kies won't detect it when I tried to do Recovery Mode. Hassle man gud if dal.on pa sa service center kay dugay ma kuha balik ang unit. Thanks daan!

Possible reason ana is if gi hard reset after upgrading to bada 1.2, Solution ana is go to the Samsung Service Center sa Jones to have it reinstalled with the old firmware, Php500 ang bayad, if dili na under warranty pero if under warranty pa wala kay bayran. It will take only an hour or less.

Afterwards reinstall the latest firmware again using KIES, make sure u have a steady internet connection & no other applications running. Make sure you remove the memory card & sim.

Another solution is to install the firmware with a bootloader yourself, although this is quite risky.

-- that's my reason why i really don't rely on making firmware updates through Kies... it already ditched my phone twice... the 2nd time, i tried it again intentionally just curious if it would really give the luck but still the same.. goes error in the middle of the process resulting to my phone left with nothing on the screen but 2 icons that i recall seeing the first time i did the update days after i bought my phone.

-- where are the wavers here?? i'll bring up this thread by putting this news.. Android is almost a few clicks away to work on Wave 100%. for those who foresee this coming when this model came in to the market, alas! our patience has paid off and just a little bit more... SamWave will have 2 OS (dual booting)... what is it? its flagship Bada... and ever so awaited.... Android.

i have tried porting it myself... so far i could say.... 70% stable.

yep.. keep it bro. this is the reason why i kept my wave too as i have foreseen this coming when Samsung released Galaxy S after Wave.

i have tested this myself already. porting is still a long process but in time, it will be made easy.. the progress is way getting faster now that it has been successfully ported. it was the porting part that made it quite a bit of a challenge.

the android i used is the one being used as well in this video.. credits to author

problems are still quite a few but mostly with the drivers such as for the sensors, modem, and what not. but the whole UI itself already works.. currently a lot of people are identifying android apps as well that currently works or crashes with the current state.

if this is already polished... it's most likely that our phone will be dual-booting Bada and Android since the ROM in the phone will still carry the Bada....
