haha.. hi jugs. what makes you a frustrated or a psyc-wannabe?

^^it's coz Psychology was my first choice.. that's why i'm a frustrated psychology "student" hehehe.. i really love psychology but never pursued it..

I have a question though, do you guys think that you're better than others because you've studied psychology? Sa tinood lang...can you guys say that psychologist are saner than non-psych kay mas in- control mo sa inyong behaviour?

hi dessay! some of my psych friends do feel that they are somehow of advantage to other people kay psych major lagi kuno sila.... 'psych majors think five times ahead daw'... well, for me.... i don't think so... of course we have discussed different theories of personality... that makea more understanding siguro why people act like that... mogawas dayon ng mga term na ADHD( attention deficit hyperactive disorder) to charecterize someone na kulang sa pansin...

it's difficult pud oi... having taught on how to detect a liar through the dilation sa pupils, non-verbal communication... especially if you scrutinize your bf then found out that he is lying... sometimes painful pud... mga defense mechanism dayon like Projection, sublimation, reaction formation... maoy mosulod sa imo mind... complicated jud with a lot of things in your mind trying to figure out why that person acted in such a way... But as what my counseling classes have taught me, it is better to keep your impression of someone to yourself na lang... "Don't open your mouth if you have nothing nice to say".

but if there's one thing i am very proud being a Psych major... I have learned the art of LISTENING... uplifting souls and helping out problems... rational-emotive therapy and logotherapy is my fave counseling method...

@thisbe- yup wala jud offer pinas forensic psyc... pero there is clinical psyc na sa USC... basin nahan ka mag psychiatrist... I have grown to love Industrial Psych naman pud...

hmmm.. it was probably because of my cousin who took up psychology when i was in high school.. her books and all.. kawaton nko kay mag basa2x ko.. and i love studying human behavior.. i love observing people..

...from then on, the subject took my interests.. i didn't went on with psych coz of certain reasons.. long story..

@jugs_05: awww. that's too sad to know. however, you can always read books and stuff to help you out.

@Mata_hari: yeah, i belong to an HR firm (murag law firm but with HR associates. char.com) and i am glued to the Industrial setting. you're right about the thing that it might get painful in the process, knowing that people are lying, etc. lisud oi. we don't have all the benefits. mao to ako ingon nga the more you know, the more it gets complicated.

Any regrets of taking up Psychology? Nope.



I don't believe that people who took up Psychology hate math. I LOVE MATH.... i love the challenge that comes with it.

i think theres some confusion here as to the fav line part of ur question it cud mean a specialization in psyc or it cud mean a saying...

if it meant a saying mine wud be: "every therapy must in someway no matter how limited, also be logotherapy" forgot hu sed dat but i totally agree
