Will I be hired if I have TB?

I was diagnose of TB a month ago. It's asymptomatic, meaning, I don't show any signs of being sick, other than it is shows in the findings of my xray.

According to my pulmonologist, I'm not infectious, cause again, its asymptomatic, and its not yet that severe, and I don't cough, etc. He said that if I want to go look for a job, he could issue a Medical Certificate that I'm fit to work and I'm not infectious.

So my question is, will that be enough for any company? I mean will I still be able to get a job when I'm still in my medication cause I have to be medicated in 6 months. Kay tingali mag waste lang ko sa akong time and effort to look for a job and pass the recruitment process, but then I couldn't keep lang diay, I mean they wouldn't keep me lang diay. It's a dilemma for me right now.

My main concern is for me to get a job, cause medication and doctor's fee is really expensive.

As far as the company is concern and your coemployees, you need to be better so you wont infect other employees. The work might be stressful so it might get worse. The doctor is wrong when he said since its asymptomatic you cant infect others. You need to take specific meds for a period to stop your specific strain of TB to infect others. The company will ask Fit to work certificate from your doctor and sputum test and xrays should show negative signs of active TB. Of course, your lungs will forever show scars of that disease so everytime you apply to a company, they will always ask you to submit a fit to work cert. Regarding the meds, yeah they are expensive but health centers nowadays offer free drugs to your TB. The problem is you need to go there daily to take it.

The other agent who still has active TB keep on coming to work. I am not sure if he is still taking his meds but because he got it during his tenureship in the company, the employer can't terminate him unless they pay him.

Some recruiters are still ignorant with TB. They only know this is communicable and infectious. You need to tell them what your doctor told you and stress your strenghts why you are qualified for the position you are applying for and your TB is not a hindrance. BUT the best thing to do is rest for 6months and follow your doctor's advice. take your meds!!

i think pasabot sa imo doctor na di jud severe imo TB, pero dat doesnt mean na di siya infectious kay asymptomatic, kay as far as i know communicabe(makatakod) mn ang TB..(correct me if im wrong )

ipadayon nalang sa imo treatment for 6mos., niya apply ka after 6mos. ky basin mo reflect gihapon sa imo XRAY na naa ky TB, so sayang lang gihapon ang gasto.. healthy living lang sa jud

Actually, ikapila jud ko ni ask sa akong doctor(pulmonologist) if I'm infectious, kay concern sad ko sa akong family, but ingon gyud sya dili kuno jud ko infectious at this stage and ask him too if pwede ko makawork, he said, yes, I can. He can give me a medical cert that I'm fit to work and I'm not infectious.
