IF IN DOUBT, ALWAYS DEMAND FOR AN OFFICIAL RECEIPT OF THE ITEM. Usually, the receipt contains the name of the original buyer, the date the item was bought, the item's exact model and its corresponding price and the buyer's signature. The seller of the second-hand item shud be able to show u the official receipt.

How to tell a stolen mobile phone? In the absence of the official receipt, the list below may serve as ur guide:

    • when offered at a very low price compared to the suggested retail price at the shop.
    • if it lacks a product box with manual or any accessories bundled with it such as a battery charger, earphone or headphone, USB connector, etc.
    • if the seller himself doesn't even know how to operate the phone ()
    • if the seller doesn't know some of the features of the phone

there might be some other telltale signs of stolen mobile phone offered for sale but the above list shud make u think twice before u offer to buy it.

yes tama jud. dapat aware jud mo sa inyu g buy na unit na complete sya kahit wla na box basta naa acces. kay lisod na mga kawatan kron pag pakaron ingnon na negosyante nya kinawat diay ang mga unit. ma priso bya ta mga buyer if maka palit ta stolen items na ma prove sa owner na ilaha.. up for this tread..

hay salamat naa na jud sa proper place ang thread , hehe i agree with "beware of buying stolen cellphones" natural lang, but the question is how to know na stolen ang phone, wala man sad siguro mo angkon na kinawat iya gibaligya. and no receipt and no box does'nt mean that the item is stolen, hehe balik balik lang ta ani, ok ra express inyo thoughts basta cool lang ta ha walay away. peace , pero instead of "beware of buying stolen phones" mas maayo pa unta nga "don't sell stolen phones" hehehe ang problema ug naa bay moangkon,

aw ask for receipt,,make sure naa iya name, address & phone number.
And you know exactly asa xa nag work or nag puyo,,,incase mag sikop time.
don't forget his signature and ID ..agreement should be on the receipt.

a simple receipt will do, this specially applies kung medyo mahal ang Item para di ka ma TY sa sikop time.
