Keeping Positive Attitude
Working in a graveyard shift is very tough. You easily get irate. You have different mood swings especially if you do not have enough sleep. You feel like you are always sleepy. With this, it seems I cannot finish my task within 8 hours. I still need to extend a minimum of 2 hours a day and a maximum of 5 hours. Can you survive a job like this?
Maybe yes. Because for two years now, I still have this job.
Are you not wondering why I am still on this job until today? Me too. I keep on asking myself why. Just a simple answer. I love this job and I love the people that I am working with.
I dont usually focus on the things that I hate. But instead I always find ways wherein I can deviate the bad experience.
The toughest situation I had so far is how to show to my subordinates that I am doing fine though I am just reprimanded by my boss due to low performance of my team. It's a terrible experience. But I need to keep a POSITIVE ATTITUDE to keep them motivated to work.
How will I do it? I just simply think of amazing small things that can make me smile.
I will just think of the food I wanted to eat -- like strawberry ice cream paired with loaf bread and chips. The taste of sweet and cold ice cream that touches my lips. The soft and crunchy feel of the chips. It tastes sweet and definitely delicious and yummy.
When you think something like this, will it draw a big smile on your face?
isn't that amazing? yes it is..
Turning a bad experience into a yummy and delicious one is an amazing task to do.
