That's exactly what I was afraid would happen when the arguing started. That's exactly why I didn't want to continue the (intelligent) "banter" I had with gatsby, because it was getting out of line. But it was misinterpreted by some people as cowardice or conceding defeat. I really regret falling into that trap, but I've learned my lesson.

Huwat2x lang usa ta kadali before i-close. If there are any sanctions or punishments to be made because the thread has gone way out of topic, pinpoint the responsible culprit/s, but allow the discussion to continue.

We can learn a lot of things from this issue, no matter how minor some people think it is. The Jan-jan saga is not yet over. As of right now an investigation has been ordered and as posted by some people here some advertisers have already severed their ties with the show.

This issue can open a lot of eyes and teach us that just because something happens everyday and because we've learned to tolerate them does not mean that they are OK. The withdrawal by some of the show's sponsors shows us that they rebuke what happened on the show. (And how did Willie react to that? By saying that he will make sure that his fans and viewers will boycott the products of those said sponsors who withdrew their support. That's not the type of guy who should be seen on primetime TV.)

This is not about wanting more publicity for Jan-jan or TV5 or whoever. It's about making a stand for our convictions. Just because a lot of people here have thrown their lot behind Willie (whether expressed or implied) does not mean that those who saw something wrong with it should keep silent and buckle to their pressure. Like dodong69 always says, diskarte lang ug inyo diha. Consider this my diskarte.

To any moderator who has been monitoring this thread, I leave it to your judgment. Hangyo lang ko nga instead of closing the thread, i-sanction lang ang mga trolls ug mga nag-da ug tiaw. And to everyone who wants to participate in the thread, if ever we're going to post something, gamiton sa nato atong utok and make sure it's relevant to the topic. Kung layo na gani kaayo, ayaw nalang. Please. I know it's a forum and that we have the right to free speech but please be responsible and mature in enjoying that privilege.
