That is true indeed , defined and articulated but we must not forget in terms of tlaking about the MILITARY ... HAZING was just outlawed when I barely finished my transformation as a Wog to a Shellback in the China sea .
My point here is , HAZING is not about hurting someone physically only but mentally and psychologically also. In the case of the MILITARY ... special trainings require these , was actually effective , constructive and productive but still it boils down to who interprets it . I have seen people getting sanctioned , court martialed for charges and guilty of HAZING but why is still ni exist man gihapon ni mga clase na activities ?

I think military training are excluded in any anti-hazing law, even our anti-hazing law state..
correct me if im wrong though. im too confuse which law the AFP violates. The physical, mental and psychological testing and training procedure and practices to determine and enhance the physical, mental and psychological fitness of prospective regular members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police as approved by the secretary of National Defense and the National Police Commission duly recommended by the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Director General of the Philippine National Police shall not be considered as hazing for the purpose of this act.
In military circles hazing is sometimes assumed to test recruits under situations of stress and hostility. Although in no way a recreation of combat, hazing does put people into stressful situations that they are unable to control, which allegedly should weed out those weaker members prior to being put in situations where failure to perform will cost lives. A portion of the training course known as SERE (Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape) simulates as closely as is feasible the physical and psychological conditions of a POW camp. Part of the purpose of SERE training is to train and test soldiers on their ability to resist methods of interrogation.
SERE training is still being conducted by US military right? Im pretty sure their training is far harsher than ours.
^^^^
Perfromed maski unsa na branch of military all over the world .
Just because we didnt know doesnt mean it didnt exist .

Black Propaganda nasad....
if dili kaantos sa training, pwede mo quit sa pagkasundalo..
On a related note:
Talking about Generals in the AFP and PNP...the retired ones that were in the news these past few weeks...the suicide of the conflicted ex CS Angelo Reyes, the "forgetful" ex AFP Comptroller Ligot, the EURO generals, released thru Ombudsman arranged bail - Garcia and the pabaon ex CS Cimatu, Villanueva, Santiago, Abu, etc...are all products of the PMA...they have undergone "hazing" while they were plebes in the Academy...and "voila"!!! ....the record speaks for itself. Corruption at all levels in the military and police. Yes, they are one of the best in the world....the best in graft and corruption, the best in usurpation of authority, the best in Human Rights violations.......pang "worldclass" kaayo!
@ JERRY MICHAEL ....
I dont see anything related to it sa video on why such SERE and the likes existed in the military .
What is the point you are trying to bring on the table ?

Special training should be provide to special units, not ordinary soldiers. It still exists because there are people who have no respect for the law, just like there continue to be thieves, murderers and adulterers despite there being criminal penalties for these acts.
Laws are meant to be obeyed by everyone and under all circumstances, you don't get to choose not to obey the law just because you think something needs to be done. I sometimes think our neighbor needs to be killed, that doesn't mean I go over there and shoot him.
