It should be PLDT to buy Globe, not the other way around. For more than 80 years in the business and still growing, PLDT is a formidable force when it comes to telecom business. I believe Globe is still paying PLDT to use some of the facilities. Globe stocks is only 600 plus plus while PLDT stocks is 2000 plus plus...

i think digitel's move is good for digitel itself hasta sa ila employees... digitel's busines is no where to go except anang ilang unli-unli mao nay naka sikat but aginud jud ang companya, dako utang, then dili ka meet sa demand when it comes to global competitiveness... overall, digitel is murag sari-sari store lang compared to pldt group, globe, bayan.. new comer san miguel/liberty telecom backed by qatar telecom, digitel una ma tko. besides, i don't think digitel employees is arang2x ug pa sweldo compared to bigger telco's.
good business move for digitel...

I hope this will benefit the employees of digitel in terms of benefits and compensation. I have friends in digitel who's salaries and benefits is not that good, I hope your benefits will be like of smart atleast if not closer since PLDT is different due to workers union.

as mvp said, dili nila wad-on ang unitext and calls. mangita lang sila paagi nga makasave sa operational expenses sa Sun Cellular like:

1. pull-out sa mga cellsites nga doul ra sa smart and transfer the telecom equipment to smart cellsite to save the electric bills, site rental and security guard fee.
2. merge the business center of sun to smart
3. pangbayran ang mga big bosses sa digitel/sun
4. bayran ang mga dagko nag sweldo sa pldt/smart - nagsugod na last year pa.
5. mupalit sila ug equipment in bulk para makabarato sila.

advantage sa pldt/sun:
1. 4 times bigger ang frequencies nila sa 2G (gamiton para ordinary calls) freqs of mobiline, smart, pldt, cure(red mobile) and sun which were issued by NTC. expect nga wala nay congestion.

2. 3 times bigger ila frequencies nila sa 3G (gamiton para sa internet mobile) freqs of smart, cure and sun, expect wala nay slow browsing.
3. 3 times biggger ila frequencies nila sa Wimax (gamiton para sa hi speed internet mobile) freqs of smart, cure and sun.
4. 3 times bigger in transmission bandwidth using pldt, smart and sun.

para nako, dili na nila wagtangun ang unli sa sun kay mao ra nay mangpatay nila sa kuntra. pero dili na nila pa ubsan ang pricing kay lugi na sila.
