Bike Lane is a good bill at the wrong time. Wala an gani maka solve traffic problem, every now and then we see re routing, gagmay dalan tiwasan pa ug lain lane para bicycle, who would do a bike in a middle of a heavy rain then suddenly sunshine that burns to you bones.

depende ra na sa setup bie. as you can see there are people riding bikes now in our roads. These people are in the lowest of the food chain mostly factory workers and less than average people. (based on what I have seen.)

all we are asking is, "place a sanctuary for bikers then you will definitely get a lesser congested road". who knows, on a cloudy day I might leave my car and bike my way to colon.

as for muggers, robbers and thieves. well, you think you ride a car your safe? Chances are bikers might still be robbed with the same chances as me walking in a sidewalk, but with lesser cost than riding a car and/or riding a PUJ I would opt riding a bike any day. besides, with a bike all you need is your lunch. no wallets no license.

if you fear mugging it would all boil down to never catch too much attention. its a case to case basis.

Look here. before people are robbed of there Nokia 3310 cellphones, but now, even if you wave it around no one would steal if from you. It would apply to your bike buying behavior.

And lastly you can never be mugged if you dont give them a chance to. ride a bike together with the crowd. never bike alone. pay attention to people on the side of the roads. etc.
