This should be done in the Philippines perting daghanan involved ug illegal drugs sa atua ako vote for death penalty para ila mga anak di na mo sundog nila, ila mga pamilya mo undang na in the Phils this is like a family business.. once your elder are involved then gusto pud mga batan on mo sundog sa ila mga katigulangan.

DEATH PENALTY TO STOP ILLEGAL DRUGS!

Not to sound like a jack-ass but I second the sentiments of some of the previous comments here.

Drug Mules = Persons who transport ILLEGAL DRUGS by swallowing them or concealing them in a body cavity.

It's true, we should mourn their deaths as fellow Filipinos. But to say that they did not see it coming is a stretch. Nag-huna2x unta sila daan before sila ni-sugot sa gusto sa sindikato. I know the easy reason is that "we need the money, salig lang ka kay wala ka sa kahimtang nila" but like Spider-Man said, "we always have a choice". Naay daghan pa uban pamaagi para maka-kwarta.

BUT...if it is found that they were framed or that inocente gyud sila, or nga gi-gulat sila sa sindikato para mag-smuggle sa drugs, diha na ta dapat mu-palag. But since it doesn't seem to be the case, because it seems they really were guilty, wala na tay ma-himo.

We should follow the stand China is taking here. Whether you're from the US or Europe or Asia, kung criminal ka, punish gyud ka. Kung ma-dakpan na to ang mga criminal nga nag-kidnap/patay atong bata gikan sa Minglanilla dapat bitayon sad to tawhana.

They have their own reasons bro nganu na buhat ni nila some of them on their own wll but some of them gi frame up lang ang others kapit patalim. But one thing for sure, root cause ani is ang gov't nato na corrupt resulting to poverty..... We should pray for their souls instead of criticizing them kay wlay perfect nato as a human being....

    They may rest in peace.......

Looks to me that the death penalty subject needs to be discussed within a new thread, right guys? That would be a very interesting topic - or is there already an existing one?

I don't think you know China and the Chinese people at all. It doesn't matter to the Chinese who the government is, as long as their lives are improving. That is why the Communist Party hinges their hold on power on the continued improvement of the lives of the Chinese people. You can call them cold and brutal, but I'd rather say they are efficient and sensitive to the needs of the people. Chinese citizens have no political power, but they have great personal and economic power. We in the Philippines have great political power, but no personal or economic power because most people have no money and therefore have restricted movement and opportunities in life. Further worsening our situation is that the ability to choose our leaders is hampered by the fact that most people are poorly educated and therefore unable to make an informed, democratic choice. In most elections, the candidates who buy the most votes, wins.

I guess it all boils down to what you consider more important. Food on the table or the right to choose your leaders, which in our case is just a cruel joke played by those in politics on the masses as they play musical chairs taking turns at the reins. Well this is already becoming OT, but I just wanted to react to your opinion that China is a cold and brutal regime. A cold and brutal regime doesn't look after its people and is insensitive to their needs, stealing money left and right from the taxpayer's purse, which means more citizens are starving and struggling in life. Doesn't that define our government more than the Chinese government?

Anyway that is just my 2c as a Filipino and a Chinese...
