Again, I need to stress out that religion plays a big role in this discussion. With all due respect to you guys - do you honestly think this hasn't happened before? I was born and raised in Manila - I've known a lot of friends who are already prostitutes even before this discussion came to life. The problem already exists even before you asked me this question.

@yiennahs - Please don't start trolling. My intention here is simply to discuss the matter at hand. Picking names about my username only makes you childish.

It should be legalized. Prostitution is the voluntary sale (or rental) of a labor service. Individuals own their own bodies and their own labor services and have the absolute right to decide how those labor services should be used. .

Syempre, the work is legal naman, naa nay right ang parents kung gusto nila patrabahuon ani nga trabaho. Walay law bai ni exist nga violation ang pag force sa anak asa sya trabaho unless kung bata pa aka child labor.

di man ko kaapas og answer dayon oi..wewehehe...di man taxation ra ang makadiscourage bai..wa man gani nadiscourage karon nga illegal pana..unsa pa kaha kung legal na..ang ako pasabot if di man jud na mawagtang then mas maayo pa taxan para makatabang pa sa gov't. then in return the government will have to safeguard their safety. layo pajud kaayo ta ani bai..kay like you said we need to change...sugod ta sa ato kaugalingon then family..etc...dako pa kaayo work... legalizing it doesn't mean nga mawagtang or modaghan ang prosti...ma proud diay ka nga prosti ka? di ba di man jud? of course nag prosti na sila tungod pordoy sila, naa diay anak sa datu nga nagprosti sa jonquera? dba wala?

I don't plan on going off the topic but I will answer your questions.
    I am an Atheist.

With that said, my point of views in life doesn't influence my support in legalising prostitution. You may want to read my discussion with Necrotic Freak who is a Christian and a religious person. Ironic as it is but I am also protecting Christian morality not because I am an Atheist but as a Filipino.

That said, my main point is simply having the Government in control of something that already exists way back.

Mao gani mag himo ug law to cover the issue up. Do you honestly think that the Government would actually give rights to parents in forcing their own kin to become prostitutes?
