^^ who's angry at whom??Problem with us, without due facts we will point out someone else as liable of someone else's mistakes. FYI, it wasn't abs-cbn's request, for him to act that way. Try to check in twitter please and also YT to see it yourself, a lot of people are discussing about it regardless if they are pro-abs, pro-gma, pro-tv5. Check Tuesday Vargas' tweets. ABS-CBN has been quiet all this time but how about Willie?whose bitterness has been the cream of his show? Don't tell me you haven't seen how disgusted he is of ABS-CBN thru his show? Almost everyday??!Now, who haven't move on yet?Everyone, not all anti-willie are pro-ABS. Let them be of separate ways for God's sake

Let him be man enough to face his own battle without us backing up on him and making alibis for his sake, like fantards !

Hope that this issue serves as an eye-opener to everyone and be a lesson learned to all the networks here in the Philippines!

I thought children were protected from commercial abuse? This is really sick entertainment, but unfortunately not so unusual. How often do we see people laughing at those with disabilities (particularly dwarfism) on TV here? I suspect broadcasters need to review their code of ethics as something is definitely wrong with this picture.

sa news on tv5 ds pm. ang parents kay wala daw nabastusan sa gibuhat sa iya anak. wala pud sila nasuko sa program.. proud pa daw sila sa pag dance sa ila anak on tv... they were cheering and shouting back at home watching their child on TV. see? so why are these people showing concern to the child, leaving comments with d host and d program, when the parents itself dnt see anythng wrong with it..

    hehehe cant laugh no more.

mura man ug bayot ug sinultihan ug gestures iya papa.. sa ako lang na pagtan aw ha..

WTF! just because the parents sees nothing wrong to it means its ok?. kung mag burikat ang 13-year-old na bata unya ok sa parents there's nothing wrong to it? The parents of Janjan themselves need counseling. and also Willie.

please read this letter from Sec. Dinky Soliman

Letter of Secretary Soliman to Manny Pangilinan on the ordeal of Jan-Jan Estrada during the March 12, 2011 episode of Willing Willie | Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines

LOL, whats wrong with it? ang guest sa show mga bata. show casing their talents. it was approved by their parents. is there something wrong? the child showcase his talents and it was a bit of hilarious. he was discovered and now some critics are making it an issue. its entertainment anyway.

going Prostitution is different from show casing your talent and get some money out of it to help your family or buy your stuffs in a decent way.

people making this an issue needs to open up their mind IMO.

    28 March 2011

    MR. MANNY V. PANGILINAN
    Chairman
    ABC Development Corporation

    Dear Mr. Pangilinan:

This is with regard to the 12 March 2011 episode of your show “Willing Willie”, which was brought to my attention by several concerned citizens and groups. In the said episode, a six year-old boy named Jan-Jan Estrada was made to repeatedly perform dance moves usually done by adult dancers in indecent shows. The poor child was in tears and looked scared the entire time, as show host Willie Revillame poked fun at him and the audience laughed and cheered.

Under Republic Act No. 7610, also known as “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act”, the term “child abuse” includes the following acts: “psychological and physical abuse, neglect, cruelty, sexual abuse and emotional maltreatment,” and “any act by deeds or words which debases, degrades or demeans the intrinsic worth and dignity of the child as a human being.”

Given that definition, it is unmistakable that what happened last 12 March 2011 to Jan-Jan Estrada was child abuse.

Persuading a little child to dance sexy adult dances in exchange for a measly sum, while he is being laughed at and ridiculed will definitely traumatize the child. What kind of values are we teaching our children through these shows, especially after Willie Revillame pushed Jan-Jan to do something against his will and then told him that it’s alright because he will receive money in exchange for it?

Given the foregoing, I am requesting that:

    (1) Young children not be allowed to appear in Willing Willie and other similar shows in the network that cashes in on poverty;

    (2) Host Willie Revillame be rebuked for his insensitive and deplorable actions.

There are limits to children appearing on television, and clearly, your 12 March 2011 episode did not respect the rights of the child and traumatized the six year-old boy. I also wish to raise my concern that the show tends to cash in on the plight of the poor. There are other ways of helping the poor without having to degrade their dignity and earn money out of it.

I hope you can act on this swiftly and I would appreciate a response from your good office.

    Thank you.

    Very truly yours,

    (Sgd.) CORAZON JULIANO SOLIMAN
    Secretary

    Cc:
    Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares,
    Chairman, MTRCB
