@rey04:
the topic is frugality, and our kababayans in the states simply expressed their frustrations over the fact that some filipino relatives back home do not seem to know the value of their hard-earned money as seen in their spendthrift ways.
you say "if you do not want to help just shut up your mouth". what a harsh thing to say. these people do help their relatives...don't they have the right to express their frustrations sometimes or remind loved ones when they start taking them for granted? i say those who keep on asking for financial support from their relatves abroad should "shut up their mouths" and start making do with what is given to them, dili sige ug pangayo. if someone gives you somethign, that's a favor, not an obligation, so essentially the receiver doesn't have any right to complain. mao na ang tinuod.
Lagi frugality is ingrained na sab na sa imong values i think. A person can be frugal in some areas and not all. Depende ra na sa tao. Whatever works and not work for you. As far as helping generous baya ko. Never ko selfish. I'm happy when i'm able to help so long as it does not get abused. Mao ra na.
