You can put up business here and employ them. its simply teaching them how to feed themselves and dont forget to encourage them coz there are really lazy people. i just couldnt forget where i come from thats why family is very important to me.

    OT:
    please no personal attacks here but thanks for calling me miss beautiful though in a sarcastic manner, i still take it as a compliment...good for you if you help your family.....i commend you for that but please don't assume that I don't help my family......like you said ug naay sobra.....and yes i put my family here first co'z my hubby and i work so hard and have so many bills to pay labi na mortgage. i help my family back home as much as i can but then i'm lucky enough to have a family that understands.....basta larga sa gawas usa ka mo overreact or maybe it's just wounded pride.....but i respect your opinion, imoha sad na but unless you get here you'll never get a good sense of how life is in a foreign land....and for your info i didn't forget where i came from co'z that's what make me who i am and pushed me where i am today......

    @rey04:

    the topic is frugality, and our kababayans in the states simply expressed their frustrations over the fact that some filipino relatives back home do not seem to know the value of their hard-earned money as seen in their spendthrift ways.

    you say "if you do not want to help just shut up your mouth". what a harsh thing to say. these people do help their relatives...don't they have the right to express their frustrations sometimes or remind loved ones when they start taking them for granted? i say those who keep on asking for financial support from their relatves abroad should "shut up their mouths" and start making do with what is given to them, dili sige ug pangayo. if someone gives you somethign, that's a favor, not an obligation, so essentially the receiver doesn't have any right to complain. mao na ang tinuod.

    Lagi frugality is ingrained na sab na sa imong values i think. A person can be frugal in some areas and not all. Depende ra na sa tao. Whatever works and not work for you. As far as helping generous baya ko. Never ko selfish. I'm happy when i'm able to help so long as it does not get abused. Mao ra na.
