u also mentioned that this will encourage laziness among people when prostitution is legalized? You are forgetting the fact that it is a buyer's market out there and people have preferences. and the law of supply and demand. Di baya tanang prostitute nagdugay kay they did not see anything profitable with the venture. Also you are discounting many other factors such as moral, religious upbringing, behavioral tendencies etc. Naa ba diay makasustinir mag dugay aning trabaho-a nga maninguha man gani nang kasagaran nga makaminyo ug dato aron mahilayo na sa pagbaligya sa kaugalingon..

and oh one thing, this might ruin relationships, family relations etc..

i dunno unsa pa lain impact ani..

i agree... drug addiction also already exist, we should just legalize drugs! What difference will it make? =)

Prostitution should be offered in colleges, so that ma educate gyud sila how to protect themselves and how to provide optimal pleasure... Its a profession man kaya, why not make it BS-Prostitution? i'm sure parents will be very proud of their graduates...nyahahah

^^There's a big difference between permitting something and promoting it, the latter being what you describe.

Prostitution is already here and tolerated, has been for a very long time. All those neon bars... what you think that's all about? Decriminalizing something is a step towards controlling it. The drugs comparison is not fitting as types of drugs vary wildly with the highly addictive substances producing clear victims. One cannot clearly identify a victim when talking about prostitution especially when a mechanism is in place to protect the workers as is the case in several progressive European towns & cities.

For sure this is a contentious issue, but one which I firmly believe deserves proper consideration rather than outright dismissal.

@Salma, I will not deep too much on the regulations per se since no one yet has proposed on this matter. But if that happens, still no way gov't can regulate it even in controlled environment (say *** will be in brothels ONLY).
