and what if g tag niyo ang person na AWOL unya six feet under na diay?! DUH!
people have reasons for going awol.
like me for instance, nag awol ko sa last company ko k sobra na kaau cla ka abusive nako. as in emotionally and physically abusive. dka malain pa overtime ka and not get paid? stupid stupid! unya kng mu resign ka properly k pangitaan ka anything to keep you in that company! ugggh! but lets not talk about that.
the point is, EVERYBODY HAS A DAMN REASON WHY THEY WENT AWOL.

p.s. team lead, acct manager, qa... i was all that, so i know what im talking about here.

cheapskate man ingana na mga employers hehe. coz they cant afford to hire more. or if they can afford k gnahan lang jud cla to kill you with all that work..aggghhh!

i went awol because d na jud kaya. actually ang work load, makaya lang unta. it was the management that was the pits. grabe, you're doing MORE than your job na, murahin paka. so i waited lang for my 30th pay, then went awol dayon after working there for several months.

@TS - make sure you let your bosses know that what they're doing is not right.

Yeah I agree. Honestly I really want to leave. Im just waiting for my certificate and some things.

Anyway, I think TS still hasnt realized the things their management has been doing is wrong YET. I'm hoping TS will act and think professionally so AWOL and negative things and comments about their company will be lessened.

    To TS,
You are a team leader so hear and listen to your team members' cries. You are the leader so resolve the issues and don't be one sided. Team leaders are not suppose to side the management all the time.

There is no need to put up a WANTED/BEWARE site for this concern. Employers can view the applicants 201 file which contains the applicant's complete job history and their offenses if proper documents were filed in accordance with the offended company's rules and DOLE policies.

Nevertheless, going on AWOL without "valid" reasons is not a good practice and should not be tolerated.

Per company ni siya @masakiton but Im not sure with small companies. 201 file/employee record is confidential. In our company EVEN managers, admins, team leads etc are not allowed to view it EXCEPT HRs - only HRs. unless they approve you to see specific files.

201 file are usually hard copies. Show cause/NTEs/Memos should be signed by employees and sups/managers to be valid/official. I think medicals and original copies of your documents like NSO certs, TOR etc are also saved in your 201 file.

para mutagam pud ni cla...^^ thanks
If the purpose of this is to warn other companies then i think it wouldn't really work If there ever will be sites like the one your describing here, i feel recruiting people are not going to take it seriously and would do their own background check.

Your HR should devote their time on how they can make people stay or hold them legally accountable if they go on awol or badmouth the company.

That's my two cents worth ü
