Alright, it seems like there are a lot of digital photographers in iSTORYA.net (P&S and DSLR).
A lot of people are sharing their pictures but not a lot of critique going around.
"Nice shot", "Beautiftul", "Amazing" are all very flattering when you receive them but it doesn't really give much in terms of learning.

A critique thread had been started yet it didn't seem to take off.

Why don't we play a game?

Rules:

1. A theme/topic shall be posted and photographers must submit only one entry.

1a. The photographer may include a title or a short story to add impact to the picture.

2. All photographers must submit a link to their photos to the GM (Game Master) before the deadline.

2a. Deadline is 5 days after the topic was posted.

2b. Only one (1) entry per photographer.

2c. The photographer may wish to replace his entry with another picture as long as it is done before the deadline.

3. The GM shall then save a copy of those pictures and upload them anonymously into another image hosting service.

4. After the deadline, all pictures are then posted with title and/or story.

4a. Photographer's name will be ommited.

info: This will allow newbie, hobbyist, weekender, and professional photographs to be judged evenly. I am hoping that self-conscious people will find this a comfortable approach which in turn I also hope would get this little experimental game a lot of participants.

4b. Pictures will be posted only after the deadline so as to protect early submitters.

4c. Pictures will be assigned ID numbers.

4d. EXIF date shall be ommited from posting

5. Judging/Voting

5a. Everyone can be a judge.

5b. You can only vote on one picture but you may post critiques for all.

Choice/Vote: (Post the number of the picture you like most)

Critique: (Talk about the qualities of the picture that made you like it the most. You may talk about technical stuff like composition, depth of field, sharpness, BOKEH, exposure, crops, etc. OR You may talk about the whole picture, subject, feelings, projections, anything on how the picture suits the topic perfectly.

Comments/Suggestion: (Random stuff you want to say or would like to suggest)

6. Judging ends after 3 days. All entries are named and winner is declared.

7. Winner hosts (GM) next game.


Note: GM can't join game cause he/she already knows the identity of the pictures and stuff.

there is no limit of pictures for submission?..how about 1 entry for each theme =)

I think it'll be a good idea to submit photos taken after the topic is assigned.
