Torn Between Canon 500D and Nikon D5000. Please help mga master!

test and feel both cameras if asa mas gusto gyud nimo...total its more on personal preference ra gyud na...i dont really care if my friends using other brand from my system (been there already)....cz in the end, you will still learn even if lain ila system gigamit as long naa kay passion sa photography....

but if u are willing to learn fast, i suggest d5000,,, coz the 5kr's community is very active and im sure daghan makatabang nimo....

its a flagship on both system...so expect same POV on lower models ....weither you stay or switch...

ang g ingon ni rsabay..... f mag ENTRY LEVEL ka go for CANON, but f mid level NIKON nlng, like D90. ...
kung 500D or D5000, nice ang duha. kung asa mas dghan friend na CANON or NIKON, ad2 ka

First and foremost is the lens, you cant autofocus with the nifty fifty - nikon 50mm (5-6k pesos), this is the main reason i will skip nikon d3100 and nikon d5000. autofocus lens lang pud and imung preferred paliton.
with Canon - pwede ka palit nifty fifty 50mm f1.8 (P4.6k as of now).

kung grey unit imu paliton - why not go for Canon 550d kissx4?
pareho ra presyo sa NikonD5000. canon will accept any dslr for service, they will just treat it as out of warranty item. bayad lang ka each time mag pa repair ka.

if price doesnt matter, canon na lang with 3years local warranty.
Naa man gyud local Canon service center here in cebu - unbeatable bargain.
(**sakto ba price doesnt matter? - nikon d90 or d7000 or canon 7d na lang?)

Me? Im also torn between canon550 and and nikon D90.
I think nikon d90 wins in terms of features and ease of use (2 control dials is really big feature para nako and the top lcd screen). But the thought nga naa local canon center keeps haunting me.
mag Nikon dyud ko kung naa lang local nikon service center dinhi cebu.
i just dont want to send my dslr or lens sa manila for repair or for warranty.
ofcourse, naa may thirdparty camera service and service warranty.

Then i found kissX4, cheaper pa and the grey unit price is the same as nikond5000.
Im 90% sure na mag canon x4 na lang ko.

piyungan na lang nako. KissX4 na lang cguro.

if my choice is only canon 500d and d5000.
i think canon ko para makagamit ko sa 50mm f1.8 prime lens.
