    You want a political answer? Then high schools impose their view of what their students should look like because the school has an image it want's to project. Why do you have to follow? because it's their turf and enforcing the rules is to remind you who goes to school and who owns the school.

    Learn the fine art of subversion if you want to be a rebel. The best kind of rebel is one that the authority has no clue exists. Rebellion is in the mind not in the hairstyle.

    If hairstyle lang ug ear piercing ang method nimo of self expression tsktsk kaluoy man ka.

    Freedom nor democracy doesn't necessarily means we are not bound by rules/laws.
    Regulated by law and rule doesn't necessarily means communism already.

    When you enroll in a school, or join any organization, you are subject to its rules and regulations. It is there rule . . . take it or leave it.
