naa ko lain concern pud e mention but lahi ni siya kay usually concerned tah ug endangered
kini ako concern is kanang foreign specie that made it or intruding it's way to our local ecosystem

kabantay mo kanang plecostomous or popularly known as janitor fish?
nga sa marikina river nag outbreak (also Agusan marshlands are threatened) and nahimo na ug pest.. I dunno how it got there either nakabuhi or gituyo or gilabay.
wala ma control ang population kay wala'y natural predator and taas ug resistensya mabuhi
and katong mga endemic or local nga specie of fish threatened na kay ang itlog kaonon
ug katong mga fishermen tawn ilang nets nangaguba and dili pud pwede kan-on kay halos walay unod
ang tough kaayo ang"armour" or exo-skeleton sa fish.

and ako lang is dapat unta e-monitor and regulate ang katong mga sellers or owners ani nga fish or e-ban nalang
    if pwede.

Marikina River is on the verge of an ecological imbalance, as a strange species of fish dominates its ecosystem. Prior to the invasion of the Janitor fish the Marikina river used to be full of other species: tilapia, martiniko, ayungin and biya.

Since the late 1990s the Marikina River has been plagued by infestation of the so called "Janitor fish". There are two species of Janitor fish present in the Philippines; Pterygoplichthys pardalis and Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus found in the Marikina River and Lake Paitan in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija[2].

A scientific study of the species found in five locations in the Laguna de Bay tributary system, amongst them the Marikina River, revealed that the specimen of Janitor fish previously reported as Hypostomus plecostomus actually belong to the genus Pterygoplichthys, family Loricariidae. The collected specimens for this study consisted of two species; Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus and Pterygoplichthys pardalis. Both species were collected from the Marikina River. Only the species disjunctivus was collected from Pasig River[3].

The growing fish population has prompted the city government to launch a new program to control their number. The city issued Ordinance 004, series of 2007 to: Ordinance Launching a Janitor Fish Eradication Drive in the City of Marikina, Granting Cash Incentives to Participants Therefore and appropriating Annually the Amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) For the Purpose[4]

comment lang ha...this list only enumerates the endangered/threatened species that are endemic to the philippines. other endangered/threatened species all over the world are not included here. since the sale/trade of exotics are also common here in the philippines, we should also be aware of those exotics that are indeed endangered/threatened.

    correct me if i'm wrong

mao na man gud ni ron mga mananap gihimo na ug fashion accessory, statement, status symbol
    or trophy.
nag palabwanay na ron sa pets the more exotic the better and naabot na sa point nga the more rare
the better and wala na'y giila nga endangered
