Originally fraternities are men of Letters..but ngkadugay nahimo nani og murag mga street gangs.......
advantage-girls and booze
disadvantage-boys and trouble
Depende man sa fraternity. For me, in a way, although dili jud ko mangitag away sa college (daghan pa gani kog mga amigo from other courses), pero mag duha2x ang ubang tao manghilabot nimo. Hadlok siguro... hahahah!
karong panahona, mu ingon gani nga fraternity..kakabit ana kay gubot..tsk tsk tsk
this was supposed to be brotherhood..
people you belong with..
people with your same interests and concerns..
people you can go to when you're down..
not people with your same anger and war-concerns..
lain na ang concept run'..
i dont know unsa pay advantage ani run'..
mybe not all..
but that's the general perception..
Mao bitaw nga wala sila nagpa member kay mostly walay nakit an nga advantage..
Ang credible ra maka sulti ana, katong mga naay frat or sor.
For me, if I had a choice to relive my college days, I'll still enter into a fraternity or group, but with a different one than my present.
Way back in high school, wala jud koy interest mo enter ana, kay usually ako nadunggan kay trouble, gara2x, etc.. In a spur of a moment, I changed my mind and joined.
Lingaw man at first. Pero within the fraternity, naa jud baryo2x bisan unsaon. I believe the word is not Unity, but Dominance for those who are most influential sa grupo.
Actually, duha akong grupo.. inside and outside the school, pero puros inactive. But still, wala ko nag regret being in a fraternity, kay naka develop in a way sa ako character.
kon bag-o nanganak imo mama brother o sister nana nimo walay kihanglan paddle.
When I entered college, I never really had any plans of joining a fraternity kay atong panahuna kusog na man kaayo ang away sa mga dagko nga frat, nag sige na'g patay ang ilang mga miyembro.
But I eventually met a friend who I became really close with who introduced me to the frat he was a member of. I got to know the other members as well and I found them pretty cool, and the frat itself was held in good standing in the school because of the charity work we regularly do.
So after a few weeks of deliberation I decided to join, mostly due to my juvenile need to belong to a group that accepts me, and also because cool man kunohay ka kung mu apil ka'g frat, heh.
But yeah, bottom line, I don't have any regrets, and even years after college it's still really good seeing your frat brothers and attending council meetings. I don't participate in initiations anymore though, maluoy ko sa mga bata nga pang bunalan
