i just don't understand why seafarers are being singled out.. ang doctor dili mangabit? ang policeman dili mangabit? how about ang businessman? ang lawyer, politician, teacher ug uban pa nga lain2 ang profession?

    ideal on what aspect?

financially: well, maybe almost everyone will agree with me na makasuporta jud ila income to have a comfortable living. the least ila earnings is 50k pesos so kung tarungon lang na ug budget and gasto it is more than enough...so basta financial aspect they are ideal jud.

emotional: di gud siya very ideal to think na the person is far...it entails a lot of sacrifice and trust. emotional torture of being away can't be considered ideal pero it would really depend on the parties involve (the seaman and the love ones) kay naa man paagi na matambalan ang distance thru constant communication.

relationship factors: i will never agree on stereotypying people. I always believe on every single person's individuality. no two person is perfectly similar in this whole wide world. So if si seaman juan is dokirok it does not mean si seaman pedro is dokirok pud. in the same way na tanan priest is Godly ang binuhatan or tanan snatcher kampon ni satanas. ang tawo naa na kanya-kanya na experience na naagian and maagian so his or her character is a continuous building process...kung buotan ang usa ka tawo we cannot expect it would be the same until he dies. life is a mystery...we can't expect what lies ahead however what we can do is pray and strive doing our best na at least the following day we can still live a life we are hoping.

most of my exes were seamen and each of them has their own individuality... naay chicksboy, naa sobra ka ambitious na i feel he can bargain me for his work, naay tawo pud na i am always the 11th of his top 10 priorities, naa very generous, naay possesive, naay sweet and caring... so in the end it is just a matter of making a right personal choice. one person's ideal man might not be my ideal man or vice versa.

sorry for the long post...naka-relate lang because my fiancee is a seaman.

They judge us based on what old time seafarer did and that image of a seafarer is hard to erase.. Those critism are always the first impression to a seafarer even those who are not doing such thing.

Thanks dokot1982,,, I really appreciate that.
