na check nako ang specs ani nga laptop and it says naa cya SPDIF. I don't have this specific unit but I had one laptop before (Acer 4520) that has also an SPDIF port.

For laptops, SPDIF port and the 3.5mm port Audio out (headset port) is just in one port.

To enable SPDIF, you need to use a Minitoslink optical cable and select SPDIF output in Control Panel>Sound Properties.

This image shows a minitoslink adapter and a SPDIF cable.

Unfortunately lisod pangitaon and MiniToslink cable dri sa Cebu.

    But that's how it works.

    Base on this website:
    Specifications for an HP DV2000 | eHow.com

    "Audio
This laptop computer could be purchased with optional dual-stereo headphone jacks, one featuring high-definition audio support (S/PDIF capable). Altec Lansing speakers were standard on all models."

Which means not all DV2000 has SPDIF Feature. Most, if not all, have 2 Audio out ports (3.5mm).

But in case you're lucky to have the SPDIF on your DV2000, you can use this link as a setup guide:
Using Digital Out or SPDIF Audio - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

Murag sakto ka bro. Duha man ang audio out ani akong dv2. Same 3.5mm nga port, cguro ang usa ani kay sa spdif but mu function man gihapon ug headphone lang.

Mao ba lisud diay na pangitaon.

    Thanks diay sa mga comment...
