If you want fair, we should execute every single one of our government officials starting from the top. Clean government before demanding taxes. It's simple, really...
clean the filipino culture first, you mean. SALN is not hard to prepare. only those with something to hide find it difficult. this will also force banks to use only BIR stamped FS in their loan evaluations. then just maybe businessmen won't have to cheat on their tax payments. luoy ang mga ultimo, bro. many small businessmen pay only a third of what their employees are paying in taxes.

You need a reality check. Many of those "small" businesses would not survive if they had to pay the right taxes, because taxes in this country are exorbitant and worse, you don't get any value out of paying them.

Taxes by the state were invented to be transactional, since the time of the Romans to this day, the people will gladly pay the right taxes if they are 1) reasonable, that is they can continue to survive and run their affairs despite paying them and 2) the taxes are used for their welfare through public expenditures that accrue to their benefit. As during the Roman times, when the emperors raised taxes unreasonably and spent them for their own aggrandizement the people lose faith in government and begin to rebel against the wicked taxation scheme when it becomes nothing more than an evil scheme to transfer money from one group to another (in our case from the employees and businessmen to the politicians) instead of being a repository of funds for the greater public good.

That is why I say, clean the fuking toilet bowl called our government first before demanding more taxes. Flushing more money down the toilet aint gonna make it cleaner bud!

weh? is that why they have nice cars and real estate properties which their employees don't have? and those employees pay more than the owners? i do loan evaluations, bro. i tell you, those i've evaluated will survive if they pay the correct taxes

annual information return (air) is unconstitutional..because it was not stated in the National Internal Revenue Code. “It’s an illegal and unnecessary state intrusion into lives of private individuals,” said Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez.

Yeah because everyone who owns a small business has nice cars and real estate properties? Why do you think people go into business? So they can earn the same amount as an employee while having 10x the headache?

You work in loan evaluations man diay.. then you should know businesses greatly inflate their financials when asking for a loan and they are not actually making that much money in reality. Common sense...

really? so it's an excuse not to pay the right taxes? bisag mas dako pa gibayran na taxes ang mga empleyado nimo? and you want the government employees to be more honest. its like the crow calling the kettle black.

dili lang mi sa documents ra magtan-aw, sir. naay credit investigation and appraisal of properties.

you want honesty from government employees but you condone the dishonesty of private citizens. one must start with oneself. imo

Sorry but that's a sh|tty excuse. When our business was in the SME stage, we paid the right taxes, even if it meant losing revenue on some months. We went through all 15 steps to start our venture--no shortcuts or bribes. If I could do it, there's no reason why others can't. You want to start a business, you better be damned ready to play by the rules.
