For me, this is a good move by DILG. I think this project should go a test run to measure the effectiveness of it. There could be of more use especially during emergency unless proper planning is implemented. According to this news article, it will patrol the skies for 4 hours a day, 2 hours in the morning and another 2 hours in the afternoon and "at least P560,000 worth of aviation fuel is needed to keep the choppers flying four hours a day for 30 days, except during bad weather."

I'm sure magamit ni in terms of emergency dili lang pang aerial surveillance but I'm thinking though a rare case, naay emergency nya ang ambulance kay na trap sa heavy traffic unsaon nila pag transfer sa patient adto sa helicopter kung walay katugpahan?

This is very nice... Great idea indeed. Actually Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama is already proposing to purhase a chopper to be used for Cebu City Sky Police as well... nka basa ko ani sa news paper... i think Last Jan pa. The thing is... Former Cebu City Mayor Thomas Osmeña opposed since mas mahal daw ang chopper and naa to gi mention nga certain plane na lang kay barato ra.

Helicopter stretcher bro or medical basket... like in movies... though its risky and needs lots of training and experience.
