Hehe. Not at all strange. This is an all-too-common, all-too-familiar problem when facing malware.

Anyway, I skimmed through the log that you sent me. As I have a fever right now, that is the best I can do. I'll be more thorough tomorrow once I'm well rested.

In the mean time. Here are some contingencies for you that might help us narrow down to the culprit.

I saw that you use Avira(Nice, my free AV of choice, too =P). Update that and run a full scan. Then, get MBAM. Run a full scan on that, too. Re-run hijack this and post your log as a text file on codepad.org. Post a link here.

I would say you could easily Google for it but, in your case, I guess it isn't. So I'm providing links this time. I'll check it as soon as I can, tomorrow.

Hopefully, though, MBAM would take of the problem as this sounds like a simple browser hijack.

    Good luck.

its actually a virus. redirecting you to another site. posibly the virus tried to change the .dll file you have that would be the reason you had the error.

    1) you could go to safe mode then create new user
    2) restart then log-in to the new user.. update your anti virus and scan you pc.

Did you uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" on folder options?

    Hi zapantalambda.

Saw your MBAM logs. Trojans and Adware. Now, do this:

    • Run a full scan of MBAM. Not a quick scan to ensure a thorough search. It may take a little longer, but trust me, it'll be worth it.
    • Remove any and all infected files. (don't worry, MBAM doesn't include super sensitive registry keys in it's report)
    • Run HiJackThis.
    • Post both logs at codepad dot org. Preferably as two separate files.

We'll check if anything else is infected. Usually files that MBAM doesn't include in it's searches. It being really sensitive and should really only be handled by people who know what to look for.

    Send me the links.
