The secret to having a good credit is to always just use your credit card as a cash replacement which means, use it only when you can pay for the item you purchased before the payment due date and just to also take advantage of the freebies being offered. Never use your credit card if you think you cannot pay for the item on time. If you have a good standing(no outstanding balance), you can always threaten to cancel your card to avoid the anual fee

using a credit card is akin to printing money. but at the end of the day, you need to pay off your charges with real money!

thus, use your credit cards wisely and it will redound back to you many folds.
